Mission: Begin STEM Education in PreK and provide every user access to STEM Ed.

Vision: Establish STEM Learning Centers across the United States of America reinforcing the STEM workforce.

The CoreEd1 team with over 75 years of teaching created MathRush, accelerated learning designed to close the Achievement Gap.

Through a 9-year Longitudinal and Cross-Sectional Study we have redefined grade level expectations of preK-12th grade students in mathematics.

Data from the study concluded that lack of math fact fluency is the root cause of the math crisis.

Math Facts

In mathematics, there are 130 skills which fall under 7 categories. 126 of these skills and all 7 categories require math fact fluency.

Math Fact Fluency is applicable to 96% of Common Core State Standards (CCSS) beginning in 3rd grade.

Increased math ability promotes social-emotional skills, language development, computational literacy, and entrepreneurial education.

MathRush is a 4-10 month, 5-minute, daily program that immediately begins to accelerate growth in any preK-12th grade student.

The Following are Data Charts and an Explanation of Results from our Study.

This chart demonstrates the percentage of preschool and kindergarten students to learn math fact fluency with MathRush in each of the 4 major math operations.

There a total of 1,224 total PreK and Kindergarten students.

The bar graph on the left demonstrates the percentage of preschool students.

The bar graph on the right demonstrates the percentage of kindergarten students.

Notes:

  • 87% of preschool students and 92% of the kindergarten students became fluent in addition.
  • 85% of preschool students and 89% of the kindergarten students became fluent in subtraction.
  • 71% of preschool students and 85% of the kindergarten students became fluent in multiplication.
  • 52% of preschool students and 79% of the kindergarten students became fluent in division.

This chart demonstrates the scoring difference between the students that participated in MathRush and students that did not participate in MathRush

The data points are differentiated by grade level. Only students in grades 3-9 take the PARCC/CMAS traditionally. 3rd grade is the first year the assessment is given.

10th-12th grade students traditionally take college entrance exams (ACT and SAT).

The Colorado State Standardized Assessment is the PARCC/CMAS and is given once per school year at the end of the school year.

The students are given a score based on Median Growth Percentile (MGP). MGP is a comparison of “like students”. That is, other students in their same grade and conditions (socio-economic, school ratings, designations, demographics).

The top line demonstrates how MathRush students scored an average MGP of +86, while the Colorado state average MGP is between +47 MGP and +53 MGP.

OUR APPROACH

MathRush guides students through: Environmental Print, Symbol Recognition, Number Sense, and our Touch Math Dot System to provide students with the conceptual understanding to engage with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Pablo Estrada, M. Ed.

CEO & Founder

As a young English Language Learner my advanced math skills gave me the confidence and foundation to excel in school.

As non-English speakers, it was difficult for my parents to help with my schoolwork. Through frequent trips to  libraries and bookstores, and strong relationships with my teachers, they ensured I had the support I needed.

However, MATH, the universal language, is where my parents were most effective. In Spanish we played math games at home, in the car, and at the store. We filled notebooks with formulas, math facts, and concept drawings. They were happy and proud to advance my education, and I became fascinated with numbers, language, and logical reasoning.

Math was soon everywhere I went and in everything I did. Life and school became easier, learning was no longer an option. Math was the difference between Graduate School and the pitfalls of too many peers.

I founded MathRush to provide every child with the same core educational skills that allowed me to reach my full potential as both a life-longer learner and teacher.
